Me and Hugo were both scheduled to fly to Philippines on the 18th of Nov, 2013 and will only be staying for 10days. So I need to plan everything before we reach there.
Usually, public baptism in the Philippines is done every Sunday on different timings but you can opt to book a private baptism any day at a higher cost. (yeah..you have to pay a certain amount for baptizing your baby)
I decided to hold it on a Sunday so my friends and relatives who are working can be available to show up.
Fees I paid for Hugo's baptism is 450php including 6 registered (3pairs) ninongs and ninangs at Christ the King Parish also known as Church in the Sky. Btw, the receipt that they issue you will serve as baptismal certificate too so you better keep it properly.
Anyways..while I'm still here in Singapore, I browsed restaurants and catering services that'll fit my budget. Me and my husband don't believe in splurging too much for baby occassion since he woud'nt appreciate any of it just yet... So, hmmm... browse..browse.
I managed to steal a deal of catering services from Metrodeal. Its catering services for 30pax that comes with 5 courses, drinks and table set up. I bought the deal for 3000php (cheap huh?) and liase the schedule and everything via email.
For the set up of tables & chairs and tent, I got it at my place for 1000php, a big 16x16 tent that can fit 6-8 square tables depending on how you set it up.

I rented 8 tables and 30 chairs plus the tent for the 1K amount.
I DIY Hugo's Christening Banner and Candy Buffet. Candies or Sweets are soooo cheap in the Philippines that I bought a lot for 500php.
Stick O's, marshmallows, candy cane, lollipops, gold coins, and more candies.. I bought 2 styro's at national bookstore to poke the candy sticks and some wax papers for the back drop design. Total DIY supplies cost me 300php
Balloons with sticks 30pcs at 125php
Big deco balloons which I bought here in Singapore at around 200php

Did'nt entirely cover the wall cement but I think if done properly will be better.
Btw, For Hugo's cake, I paid 1900 php (refundable 200 for the cupcake stand)
its 45pcs of cupcakes with a 6"cake on top.
I had DIY cake toppers too which I did last minute. I printed out photos of Hugo and stick it on a popsicle stick. :)
