My family is in the Philippines and I gave birth here in Singapore. Since my son is the first grandson, my parents were more than excited and becoming impatient on when to see him. So as soon as I got his name registered, I applied his passport online, and waited for him to reach 3 months before I booked our tickets to Philippines.

I traveled alone with Hugo,yes...alone. Me nor my husband did'nt think twice about me traveling alone with our 3 month old baby. Hubby trust me on this mainly because I had been very independent on the past few months on taking care of Hugo.
I read lots of articles and blogs about traveling with baby. Its not as hard as what I expected. My husband helped me checked in our luggage. I strap him in his carrier so I can push his stroller freely. I feed him 20mins before we went to the boarding area too. Strollers are allowed and they will help you side check in. But its better to check with your airline as some have a few restrictions with regards to a carrier or stroller.
Baby is sleeping when the plane took off. He just woke up and cried a little when he heard the loud engine but went back to sleep again. We took a past midnight flight so we can avoid the traffic when we reach Philippines. Hugo's sleeping habit is not yet stable at this time, he's awake and playing with me almost half of the flight.

Tips:
- No need to pay extra on a prefered seat, just make sure to check in earlier.
- you can ask them nicely about putting you alone in a row if the plane is not full. taking midnight flight is wonderful as not many choose to travel at this hour.
- tell the flight attendant about your seat preference as well once you board the plane.
- make friends with the flight attendant (there was a time that I let Hugo lie down on the seat to sleep and I want to pee but don't want to wake him up. So I asked one of the FA to help me to look after him for a while
- be sure to pack diaper changing stuffs in your hand carry bag, but not too much. You know how many diaper changes your baby makes and c'mon, you dont want to carry a heavy bag.
- i did'nt bring feeding bottles or milk formula with me coz I'm breastfeeding.just a shawl will do.
- bring 1 toy with you just in case your baby get cranky
Don't worry too much about traveling with an infant. Believe me, you will get all the help and assistance you need if they see you traveling alone with the baby. :)
